From the hands that plant the seeds to the communities that nurture the crops, coffee is more than just a beverage—it’s a journey. In February 2025, our team embarked on the EVS Colombia Origins Experience, an unforgettable trip to Jardín, Antioquia. There, we traced coffee back to its roots, met the people behind every bean, and gained a deeper appreciation for coffee farmers’ dedication, passion, and resilience.
Our team traveled through Medellín and Jardín, meeting local farmers, learning about the coffee-growing process, and participating in projects that support the region. We wanted to immerse ourselves in the culture, strengthen relationships with our partners, and leave a positive impact on the communities we visited.

Why this trip mattered?
Colombia is home to some of the world’s finest coffee, cultivated with generations of expertise in the lush landscapes of the Andes Mountains. This trip was more than a business visit; it was about understanding the heart of coffee production, witnessing the effort that goes into every step of the process, and giving back to the community that makes it all possible.
Exploring Jardín: A Place Frozen in Time

Nestled in the mountains of Antioquia, Colombia, Jardín is a picturesque destination that has preserved its colonial charm for over a century. It was the perfect setting for our trip, with its colorful architecture, breathtaking landscapes, and rich coffee tradition.
We visited family-owned farms and experienced the entire seed-to-cup journey—learning about planting, harvesting, drying, and roasting coffee beans. This hands-on experience gave us a newfound appreciation for the patience, skill, and passion that go into every sip of coffee we enjoy.
Moments That Made an Impact

Our Give Back Project was one of the most meaningful parts of the trip. We had the opportunity to visit a local school, where we spent time with the children and witnessed the unveiling of a brand-new playground.
“Being able to take part in the reveal of the playground at the school will forever be a memory I’ll never forget.” This moment reminded us of the importance of community support and how small acts of kindness can create lasting joy.
Lessons We Took Home ☕️
💡 “How much effort goes into creating a premium cup of coffee—from seed to cup?”
💡 “That true happiness often comes from small, everyday moments. We tend to focus on what we lack, but this trip reminded us of the abundance already in our lives.”
💡 “How much love everyone puts into their work and how amazing Colombia truly is.”
A New Perspective on Coffee

Visiting farms like La India, La Fortuna, and Los Naranjos gave us a firsthand look at the dedication and pride of coffee farmers. Seeing how hard they work—from climbing steep terrains daily to ensuring that every bean meets the highest standards—shifted our perspective.
“Each moment and experience was bigger and better than I expected. I used to think of a farm as just a place where beans grow. Seeing it in person, I realized it was so much more—a home, a legacy, a source of pride for generations.”
The trip also introduced us to the Birds and Bees projects, initiatives that promote biodiversity and sustainability in coffee-growing regions.
Looking Ahead

As we return from this trip, we bring back more than just memories—we carry a renewed respect for coffee farmers, a deeper connection to the product we represent, and a more substantial commitment to ethical sourcing and community impact.
This experience reminded us that coffee isn’t just a drink—it’s a story of people, passion, and purpose. We’re grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside the farmers, share laughter with the children, and immerse ourselves in the culture that makes Colombian coffee so unique.
Here’s to more meaningful experiences, deeper connections, and a future where every cup of coffee tells a story worth sharing.
